About Us - Elina Bagshaw - Dance & Own the Stage

Elina Bagshaw, B.Sc, TC RAD, MNLP, TNLP

Elina is an Elite Performance Trainer with almost 30 years experience as a Dance Teacher and Choreographer, at both the Recreational and Competitive Levels. Her Dance training included Ballet and Jazz, and she completed Royal Academy of Dance exams at the Vocational Level.

Elina has had a lifelong fascination with brain function in relation to children and learning. This led her to open Aim Educational Services Inc. in 2011 for the purpose of developing academic performance.

Combining her love of dance and her knowledge of brain science to develop Own the Stage. Own the Stage helps young people take their technical performance skills to the next level. It incorporates both theory and practical into each session and then applies them to performance. It teaches key techniques and skills to increase confidence – which can be applied to all aspects of life, including the school setting. Own the Stage can help young people to become better focused and better at self-management, including those with ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism.

Elina received the Business Women’s Network of York Region Award in 2015 for promoting Literacy. Elina’s diverse background includes teaching, training, mentoring, sales, entrepreneurship, and motherhood. She is active in the community and is Co-Chair of Ladies in Philanthropy for Southlake Hospital.

Music in Motion Angus is counts it a genuine privilege to welcome Elina to our Teaching Staff. She will teach Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary on Wednesdays. And, we are thrilled that she will be Leading the Own the Stage Program throughout the year.
